FBI & Justice Department Epstein File Investigation Explained
📍 United States • 🗓️ Updated News • 🚨 Breaking Investigation
UNITED STATES: The US Justice Department has released millions of internal documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, revealing connections with numerous prominent figures across politics, finance, academia, and business. The newly released files include tens of thousands of references linked to former US President Donald Trump.
Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to prostitution charges involving an underage girl and was arrested again in 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking minors. He later died in a Manhattan jail cell in what authorities ruled a suicide. Evidence from multiple legal and criminal cases has shed light on his extensive network of social and political ties.
What the Justice Department Says
The Justice Department has warned that the released materials may include unverified claims, faked images, or inaccurate allegations. Officials also confirmed that thousands of documents were removed to protect the identities of Epstein’s victims. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the files do not constitute evidence of criminal sexual activity by individuals named.
Donald Trump socialized with Epstein during the 1990s and early 2000s and was quoted in a magazine profile as saying Epstein liked women “on the younger side.” The released files include photographs of Trump with women whose faces are redacted, along with a suggestive note addressed to Epstein bearing what appears to be Trump’s signature.
