SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA): A tragic rollover crash on Interstate 20 West early Friday morning claimed the life of Tremaine Jones, 33, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office. The accident occurred near the Lakeshore Drive and Linwood Avenue exit.
Authorities say the crash occurred around 2:29 a.m. on the I-20 westbound off-ramp at Linwood and Pierre Avenue. A light blue Chevy Blazer exited the roadway, rolled over, and struck a large concrete bridge column on the Exit 17A ramp.
What We Know So Far
Shreveport Police and Fire Department crews responded quickly to the scene. Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove Jones from the wreckage, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say Jones was returning home from a local casino when he encountered ice still covering part of the off-ramp.
Jones was positively identified using his ID, and toxicology testing was ordered as part of standard procedure. The crash remains under investigation by Shreveport Police. This marks the fourth deadly wreck in Shreveport in 2026.
