Lucas Wade Accident Vidalia, LA Death, Obituary: Juvenile Killed in East Feliciana Parish Crash
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A 15-year-old was killed following a tow truck crash Tuesday afternoon in East Feliciana Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers responded to the fatal crash at the intersection of LA 19 and Thompson Creek Road around 2:02 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
Investigators said the tow truck traveled off the right side of the roadway before reentering, crossing both travel lanes, and exiting the left side where it struck an object.
Authorities confirmed the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
A teenage passenger, who was also not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police stated that impairment is not suspected; however, routine toxicology samples were collected as part of the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
