CHESTERFIELD, Va.: Chesterfield County Police are continuing to investigate a deadly truck crash that occurred along Route 1 on January 8. Authorities have identified the victim as Dennis L. Maiden, a 51-year-old man from Lancaster County.

Police said a tanker truck was leaving a business around 11 a.m. in the 5800 block of Route 1 when it suddenly crashed through a fence, crossed the roadway, and struck a jersey wall.

The driver was found unresponsive at the scene. Maiden was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
