Authorities have identified the man fatally struck near the 9000 block of Lucas and Hunt Road as 30-year-old Ka’Ontee Johnson of St. Louis. The tragic incident occurred in the early morning hours of January 17, 2026, when officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash.
According to St. Louis County police, the crash happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. Officers responding to the scene discovered a man who had been struck by at least one vehicle while in the roadway. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
