Woman Shot on Houston METRO Bus Has Died

HOUSTON: Police have confirmed that the woman who was shot during a violent incident on a METRO bus in Houston on Wednesday afternoon has died from her injuries. Authorities now say the shooting involved a single suspect, correcting earlier reports that suggested two individuals were involved.
According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Walnut Bend. Officers say the suspect appeared to be targeting another person on the bus, and the woman who was shot was an innocent bystander.
The victim, described as a woman in her mid-20s, was transported to a hospital in critical condition following the shooting. She later died from her injuries, police confirmed. Her identity has not yet been released.
Suspect Description & Ongoing Search
As of approximately 5 p.m., HPD and METRO Police, along with K9 units, were actively searching for the suspect. He is described as a man in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie, gray shorts, and sliders.
