Katherine Baransky Dies in Fatal Park Ridge, Illinois Pedestrian Crash
Authorities on Sunday identified a 65-year-old woman as the pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Police said the victim, Katherine Baransky of Park Ridge, suffered fatal injuries during the crash, which occurred at approximately 6:26 a.m. at the intersection of Cumberland Avenue and Peterson Avenue.
According to the Park Ridge Police Department, Baransky was near the intersection shortly after 6:20 a.m. when she was struck by a passing vehicle. Emergency responders transported her to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Investigators stated that no charges or citations have been issued at this time. Detectives continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
