Heather Thompson of Waverly, Tennessee, Dies After Murder-Suicide Involving Two Sons and Elderly Mother
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis has identified the four people found dead inside a Waverly home on Friday morning following a welfare check.
According to Sheriff Davis, deputies responded to a call requesting a welfare check at a residence on East Little Richland Road. Upon entering the home, deputies discovered four family members who had died from gunshot wounds.
The victims were identified as 4-year-old Arius Thompson, 13-year-old Isaiah Johnson, and 88-year-old Evelyn Johnson.
Investigation Findings
Deputies also identified 32-year-old Heather Thompson as the fourth person found deceased at the scene.
Sheriff Davis stated that the investigation indicates Heather Thompson shot and killed the three victims before taking her own life. The sheriff did not disclose who requested the welfare check.
The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
