Minneapolis · Updated · News Report

The woman shot dead by a federal immigration agent in Minneapolis has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who had recently moved to the city.

Good was a prize-winning poet and a hobby guitarist, and city leaders said she was acting as a legal observer of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities at the time of the incident.

Despite those claims, the Trump administration has described her as a "domestic terrorist", a characterization that has been strongly disputed by local officials and community members.

Her death has sparked protests across the country, with demonstrators holding signs reading "Justice for Renee".

“She was probably terrified,” her mother, Donna Ganger, told the Minnesota Star Tribune. “She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.”

Ganger described her daughter as extremely compassionate, saying she had spent much of her life caring for others and was known for being loving, forgiving, and affectionate.
