VANCOUVER, Wash.: Authorities have identified Corey D. Jones as the 43-year-old man who was fatally shot late Friday night outside a sports bar in east Vancouver. The incident has left the local community shaken as investigators continue piecing together the events leading up to the deadly confrontation.
Police say a 28-year-old suspect, identified as Jared D. Taylor, turned himself in Sunday at the Vancouver Police Department’s west precinct. Taylor has been booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Taylor made his first appearance in Clark County Superior Court on Monday afternoon. Prosecutors formally outlined the charges connected to the shooting outside the Offramp Bar and Grill, which occurred shortly before midnight.
