Thunder Bay, ON – So Saddened by This Loss: Remembering Sandy Herron
It is with broken hearts and profound sorrow that we sadly announce the sudden passing of our beloved Sandy on January 6, 2026, while in Florida.
Born on November 17, 1964, Sandy grew up in a loving home with her parents, James and Shirley, alongside her siblings Donna, Jimmy, and Andrew. She took great pride in her roots and would proudly say, “I’m from Westfort, Ontario!”
Sandy attended Crawford and Heath Park elementary schools and later graduated from Westgate High School in 1982. After trying several jobs, she eventually settled into a position at Canada Car.
After only a few years, Sandy began to feel restless, often thinking, “I can’t see myself behind this desk for another forty years!” Encouraged by a coworker, she enrolled in a college course designed to help individuals discover their true calling.
