One dead, two hurt in crash east of Grand Island
Grand Island, Neb. — Hall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday in the area of East Highway 30 and East Capital Avenue.
Authorities say the crash resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others. Emergency crews arrived just before 6 p.m. following reports of a serious collision east of Grand Island.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2020 Ford F-350 was traveling westbound on Highway 30 when a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse attempted to turn eastbound from Capital Avenue onto the highway.
Investigators say the Chevrolet Traverse failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by the Ford F-350.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a Central City woman died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Two additional individuals were transported for medical treatment.
The incident remains under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
