The Austin Police Department is responding to an incident in north Austin where an officer from another law enforcement agency was shot.
AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department says officers are responding to an incident in north Austin involving a law enforcement officer from another agency.
Police posted on X around 2:40 a.m. that officers were on scene near the intersection of West Rundberg Lane and North Lamar Boulevard.
According to police, the officer had been working as a security officer at a business in the area when the officer was shot.
Authorities say there is an active crime scene and are continuing to ask the public to avoid the area while the investigation remains ongoing.
