LAS VEGAS (KSNV): A California man has been arrested in connection with the first deadly crash in Las Vegas for the new year. Authorities say the incident involved a hit-and-run that occurred in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Police said the collision was reported at approximately 1:03 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard south of Russell Road. Investigators believe a 43-year-old woman from Kansas was walking north in the far-left travel lane when she was struck by a Cadillac SUV.
