Actor Sreenivasan Death
Sreenivasan, one of the most influential figures in Malayalam cinema as an actor, screenwriter and director, passed away at the age of 69 at a government hospital in Kerala's Kochi on Saturday morning.
As per reports, he had been facing health issues and had undergone heart surgery in 2022.
Malayalam filmmaker and actor Sreenivasan's body was brought to his house in Kandanad around 4.45 pm after it was placed at the Town Hall for public homage.
People from all walks of life gathered at the Tripunithura taluk hospital and later at the Town Hall as Kerala mourned one of its most influential cinematic voices.
Sreenivasan, who had been unwell for the past few years, passed away on Saturday morning while being taken for routine dialysis. Though he was rushed to the nearby Tripunithura taluk hospital, doctors declared him brought dead.
His mortal remains were later taken to his residence in Udhayamperoor.
