Victim Murdered on Woodlawn Road in Overnight Christmas Season Killing

A brutal overnight shooting left one victim dead around 3 a.m., marking another deadly incident during the Christmas season.

A homicide occurred on December 20, 2025, on Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC, marking the second murder within minutes of each other and the seventh murder this week during the Christmas season.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., the victim was shot and transported to Novant Hospital, where he/she later died.

Just minutes earlier, another victim was murdered on Woodlawn Road, highlighting a disturbing surge in holiday violence.

Authorities report that Charlotte has seen seven murders in one week during the Christmas holiday period.
