Garden Grove, CA – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision on SR-22 East early Saturday morning in Garden Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:48 a.m. on December 13, 2025, on eastbound State Route 22 at Harbor Boulevard. CHP officers and emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the incident was reported, closing lanes to manage traffic and ensure safety.
Preliminary reports indicate that a black Volkswagen and a white vehicle collided in the eastbound lanes of SR-22 near Harbor Boulevard. One of the vehicles ended up overturned on its roof, while the other was partially blocking lanes.
One person sustained serious injuries and was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center for treatment.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, though the overturned vehicle and blocked lanes suggest a high-impact collision.
