BIRMINGHAM: Police have charged a man with murder following a fatal stabbing that occurred in the Small Heath area of the city. Officers were called to reports of a serious incident on Saturday evening, where a man was found critically injured.

West Midlands Police identified the victim as Kiirpaal Nihian, 29, who was found with serious injuries on Swanage Road. Despite emergency services attending the scene, he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Abdou Sillah, 23, of Birmingham, has since been charged with murder and possession of a knife. He is scheduled to appear before magistrates in the city on Boxing Day.

Separate Fatal Stabbing Charged in Clyde

In a separate case, detectives from the Homicide Squad have charged a 27-year-old Clyde man with murder following a fatal stabbing linked to a two-car collision.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Clyde-Five Ways and Railway Roads around 3:30pm. A passenger, a 36-year-old man from Endeavour Hills, was found with stab wounds and later died.
