A grandfather and grandson shot and killed each other in an argument Monday night in a Southwest Austin home, Austin police say
AUSTIN, Texas — A man and his grandson are dead after shooting each other during an argument inside a Southwest Austin home Monday evening, according to police.
The Austin Police Department said officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 10400 block of O'Rourk Lane around 5:19 p.m. on Dec. 22.
According to police, a caller told 911 that her son and her father were inside the home.
When officers arrived, they found two adult men inside the residence. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later identified the men as grandfather and grandson, Charles Wagnon and Trevor Shepherd. Investigators say the two were involved in an argument that escalated into a deadly shooting.
The incident occurred in the Circle C neighborhood of southwest Austin. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No additional suspects are being sought at this time, police said.
