CHICAGO: Three people, including two Chicago police officers, were injured early Monday morning after a stolen vehicle ran a stop sign and crashed into a marked police SUV near Wrigley Field, according to Chicago police.

Police said the officers were traveling southbound in the 3600 block of North Racine Avenue around 3 a.m. when a stolen Hyundai Elantra ran a stop sign and struck their squad SUV.

Following the collision, the stolen vehicle hit three parked cars. The police SUV was pushed onto the sidewalk and slammed into a tree. Both officers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
