CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people are recovering after a shooting in northwest Charlotte early Thursday morning, according to Medic.

The shooting happened on Firestone Drive, not far from Firestone Park and the McCrorey YMCA. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after reports of gunfire.

Medic officials said paramedics transported two people to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Their conditions have not been updated.
