28 rounds fired into home during drive-by shooting; suspect arrested, police say

GONZALES, La. (WAFB) – A suspect has been arrested after shots were fired into a home during a drive-by shooting in Gonzales, investigators said.

According to police, Cade Hernandez, 24, is behind bars in connection with the incident. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. on Sunday, October 19, in the area of W. Worthy Street.

Detectives confirmed that a resident was inside the home at the time of the gunfire. Investigators added that approximately 28 rounds were fired during the incident.

In a separate incident, CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Cleveland man is urging authorities to act quickly after a drive-by shooting riddled his home and nearly struck him and his neighbor’s child.

Security footage captured a man leaning out of a car window and opening fire on homes in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood. The shooting reportedly occurred around 6 p.m.
